Flow system

In science, a flow system is a, generally cylindrical-like, system through which matter flows. Romanian-born American mechanical engineer Adrian Bejan employs the term significantly in his constructal theory, in which flow systems include: river basin, vascularized tissue, as well as flow configurations in social systems, such as city traffic, among others.
